NETBALL WAIRARAPA

Netball Wairarapa is responsible for the provision of netball development, programmes and services to the Wairarapa community.

Netball New Zealand is the governing body for Netball in NZ and our Centre is part of Netball Central Zone, one of five zones across the country.  The image on this page shows the coverage area of Netball Central Zone, which contains a total of 13 Centres ranging in size and membership. 

For many aspects of our operations we work closly with other Wellington region Centres:  Netball Hutt Valley, Kapi Mana Netball Centre, Coastlands Netball Kapiti and Netball Wellington Centre. 

The other Centres which make up Netball Central Zone include:

Hawkes Bay region: Netball Hawkes Bay, Dannevirke Netball Centre

Horizons Region: Netball Manawatu, Taihape Netball Centre, Rangitikei Netball Centre, Netball Whanganui and Horowhenua Netball Centre.

Taranaki Region: Netball Taranaki including six satellite Centres in New Plymouth, Hawera, Inglewookd, Waitara, Opunake and Stratford.

We have a small number of paid staff but rely heavily on the services of volunteers that include delegates, administrators, coaches and umpires.  Without these people our players wouldn't have access to the game we all love.
