FutureFERNS Year 5 & 6
The Year 5 & 6 programme is delivered in Term 2 & 3 on Tuesday nights, with rounds starting from 4pm.

Grades available:
- Year 5&6 (GS, GA, WA, C, WD, GD, GK)
- Grading games will take place over the first two weeks to determine grades for round one. Grades may be altered for round two and will be advised when available.
Format
- Year 5&6 A maximum of four (4) males may be on the court at any one time, with the following:
Shooting third – maximum of one (1) male (GS or GA)
Mid-court third – maximum of two (2) males (WA, C, or WD)
Defensive third – maximum of one (1) male (GD or GK)
- Full court.
Teams must have their own coach and umpire for the duration of the season.
Teams are to supply their own uniform, bibs and ball.
Teams must supply their own scorer who will use My Netball Manager app to score. Scorers from both teams are to stand together for the duration of the match.
Coaches are encouraged to attend the FUNdamental workshops to assist in your development & understanding of netball specific movement skills & technical aspects of the game.
Umpires workshops are available and delivered. Umpires must be confident in calling obstruction, contact, stepping at minimum for the age grade.
No individual registrations are taken for this grade. If your school is not entering a team please email ops@netballwai.co.nz and we will do our best to accommodate your participation.
